Last night as I was working on the computer, I could hear the little ones giggling after bathtime. I finished up an answer and headed upstairs to help Matt with bedtime stories. When I got upstairs, Matt was in the hallway outside of Will’s bedroom and the door was partially closed. He put his finger to his mouth and whispered that Cate was reading Will his bedtime story, per Will’s request. I quietly peeked into the room through the crack in the doorway and what I saw and heard melted my heart. I was able to capture a cute photo and quick video before I was busted….enjoy this small moment of sibling love.
It’s pie and ice cream moments like this that make my heart swell and bring forth the realization that they won’t always be little. We must cherish these times and tuck these memories away for safekeeping in our souls.
